Mind Body Research Group:
Pioneering Mind-Body Research
ABOUT OUR GROUP
We are a multidisciplinary research team based in Boston, MA affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - a Harvard Teaching Hospital. We are systematically studying a novel approach to treating chronic pain and other conditions based on the pioneering work of the late Dr. John Sarno. While we continue to seek NIH funding, our research is supported by funding from philanthropic donations and we hope you might consider joining our effort!
Our Work
We have developed a 12-week virtual program called Psychophysiologic Symptom Relief Therapy (PSRT) that employs a Sarno-based approach (with our own added innovations) to reducing and/or eliminating chronic pain and somatic conditions. We are currently interested in applying PSRT to the following conditions:
-
Chronic back/joint/neck pain
-
COVID-19 long haul syndrome
-
Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI)
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD)
-
Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (racing heart)
-
Insomnia
-
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
-
Migraine and other headaches
-
Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) syndrome
-
Unexplained Shortness of Breath
